Ring Component

In a Lurgi gasifier (a fixed-bed pressurized gasification reactor used to convert coal or biomass into syngas), annular components are key annular structures crucial for ensuring efficient, stable, and safe operation. The gas distribution ring, located near the bottom of the reactor, is responsible for evenly distributing the gasifying agent (a mixture of oxygen, steam, or air) across the fuel bed cross-section, preventing local overheating or gas flow deviations, thereby maintaining stable reaction temperature and carbon conversion. The ash pan ring, integrated with the rotating grate system, collects and discharges ash while maintaining the reactor pressure (typically 20-30 bar) through a sealing design to prevent syngas leakage. Sealing rings (such as grate seals and coal lock seals) form a barrier between the moving and stationary components, ensuring a safe pressurized environment.
