Efficient Log Handling: The Logging Tool is your solution for effortlessly moving and lifting large logs, cants, and beams. Its ideal leverage allows you to minimize effort, saving you valuable time and reducing labor.
Secure Grip on Logs: With the cant hook log roller tool, you can achieve a solid hold on logs of up to 15.5 inches (39.4 cm) in diameter. Additionally, it can be used to stabilize logs while cutting them down for firewood. Always prioritize safety by wearing appropriate gear when using this log peavey tool.
Built to Last: Constructed with a heavy-duty carbon steel spike, logging hook, and wooden shaft, this logging tool ensures maximum strength, durability, and longevity. The log peavey steel hardware is coated with an orange powder finish to provide protection against rust and corrosion.
Comfortable and Reliable: The log peavey cant hook features a 2.3-inch (5.8cm) diameter wooden rod handle, providing a comfortable grip as you lift and stabilize logs. The sharp steel peavey hook effectively bites into the wood, allowing you to effortlessly handle heavier trees.
Easy to Use: The Logging Tool simplifies log handling with its user-friendly design. Just place the log turner peavy next to the log, ensuring that the handle is facing upwards. Position the pointed end on one side of the log and wrap the hook into the other side to secure your grip. Push downwards on the handle, and continue pulling until the log rests on top of the tool.
Grab and Conveyor Felling Drums
Secures logs through physical gripping force and transports them to the processing location. In combined fellers (such as feller-delimber-bunchers), they grab fallen logs and transport them to the delimbing mechanism.
In roadside loading areas, sensors automatically adjust the gripping force to improve logging efficiency.
Debarking Felling Drums
Remove bark through friction or impact. In paper processing lines, sharp-blade drums are preferred to improve fiber quality. In water-flow log processing, blunt-blade drums are used to reduce wood loss.
Tensioning and Adjustable Felling Drums
Dynamically adjust the drum spacing to accommodate varying log sizes. This reduces downtime and adjustment time in mixed-diameter log processing lines. For operations in complex terrain (such as felling on slopes), angle adjustment maintains grip stability.
Multi-Function Felling Drums
Combined grabbing, debarking, and conveying functions. For clear-felling operations (large-scale forest clearing), these multi-function systems reduce equipment changeover time.

Forestry and Timber Processing
Efficient debarking and pretreatment for stump milling. Equipped with multiple picks or paddles, these rotary milling machines remove residual tree roots, creating a smooth surface for subsequent tillage or replanting.
Farmland and Forest Clearing
Mechanized operations improve efficiency. Two rows of large rollers push down brush, allowing the driver to sweep large areas by reversing. For large, old trees, a tree pusher (a modified bulldozer with three 2.5-meter-long steel rods and a giant 8-tooth spike rake mounted on the front) is required to push down and separate the roots.
Special Applications
In particleboard production, for example, Xiangsheng Co., Ltd.'s 600,000 cubic meters annual super-strong particleboard project utilizes 36-meter-long drying drums weighing approximately 300 tons. These drying drums are precisely installed using a "double-machine lifting" process, enabling continuous drying of large quantities of material.

Daily Maintenance
Drum Cleaning: Clean bark and sawdust residue after daily operation (pay particular attention to the gaps between the drum and the hydraulic connections).
Lubrication and Maintenance: Apply lithium-based grease (such as SKF LGHP2) to the bearings and chain every 50 hours.
Blade Inspection: Check blade wear weekly (sharp peeler blades require replacement if wear exceeds 1mm).
Periodic Inspection
Hydraulic System: Replace the hydraulic oil and filter every 200 hours (ISO VG46 anti-wear hydraulic oil is recommended).
Transmission Components: Check chain and belt wear every 500 hours (chain elongation >3% requires replacement).
Structural Alignment: Laser align the drum axis annually (adjustment is required if deviation >0.5mm).
Consumable Parts Management
Spurs/Blades: Create a wear log and replace them according to service life (e.g., Level 1 wear: 100 hours, Level 2 wear: 200 hours).
Bearings: Replace every 1000 hours (using SKF or NSK brands increases lifespan by 30%). Seals: Check O-rings and oil seals every 500 hours to prevent hydraulic oil leakage.
Personal Protection
Operator: Must wear cut-resistant gloves, goggles, and anti-smash shoes (compliant with ANSI Z87.1).
Bystanders: No unauthorized personnel are allowed within 50 meters of the work area (splash from the drum can reach up to 10 meters per second).
Equipment Safety
Protective Cover: Exposed parts of the drum must be fitted with a steel protective cover (thickness ≥ 3mm, mesh size ≤ 50mm).
Emergency Stop: Red emergency stop buttons (response time ≤ 0.5 seconds) are located on the operating table and on both sides of the drum.
Warning Signs: Warning signs such as "High Voltage Danger" and "Rotating Parts" should be posted in conspicuous locations on the equipment.
Environmental Safety
Terrain Assessment: Before working on slopes, check the bearing capacity of the ground (slopes > 25° require foundation reinforcement).
Weather Restrictions: Stop operations during thunderstorms or strong winds (wind speeds > 10m/s) to prevent the drum from losing control.
Fire Prevention Measures: Fire extinguishers (dry powder, capacity ≥ 4kg) should be available at the work site and kept away from flammable materials.
